Welcome to Fire Findings!

Anniversary LogoIn the Winter 2010 issue of Fire Findings
Smokers may not like them, but fire-safe cigarettes made us jump for joy at the chance to do more testing in one of our favorite areas. After lighting up 150 times, our staff investigator, Daniel Schuh, sheds light on just how "fire-safe" the cigarettes might be and how they may or may not ignite nearby combustibles.

second round for solid fuels
“Investigating Solid Fuel-Burning Appliance Fires” class returns October 6-7, 2010
Folks loved our first solid fuel-burning appliance fires seminar so much we had to bring it back. Get in-the-lab training that addresses installation and user issues involving fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, pellet stoves and even gas-log fireplace sets. Join us as we explore case studies and take part in hands-on mock-ups of representative installations. If all goes as planned, observe a live insulation fire.
